The annual Ludlow Piano Festival is running this year between 22nd and 26th May 2024. The brainchild of entertainer Alistair McGowan, the festival is set to operate 19 events over five days. The opening Celebrity Concert on 22 May is already sold out, and features performances on the festival Steinway by celebrities such as Tim Vine, Sarah Parris, Rainer Hersch and Alistair McGowan, as well as by BBC Radio 3 stalwarts Tom Service and Sarah Walker.

This is relevant to Havergal Brian because one of the celebrities performing at the event is none other than artist and 'Oldie' columnist Giles Wood. Giles is a member of the HBS and will be performing the Prelude: John Dowland's Fancy at the event. We wish Giles well!
